Review on Diamondback Bicycles Girls Impression Sidewalk by Mario Anderson

We gave this bike to my 5 year old daughter for Christmas. I thought I would write a positive review but after some experience with it I sadly have to admit that I probably won't buy this bike again. My daughter ran right into the curb. She went pretty fast but didn't hit them THAT hard. Luckily she was in perfect condition, but she broke part of the front wheel. Diamondback does not sell replacement parts. So I took her bike to the local bike shop. I had to replace the entire wheel which cost $35. They could only replace it with a wheel with silver spokes, so the front wheel is now very different from the rear wheel. I was a bit disappointed as we didn't even have a bike for a year. Such damage is also not insured. As a kid, just learning to ride a horse, I accidentally climbed into a metal sewer pipe (oops) and my banana bike didn't even get a scratch! I just can't believe it, one hit and the bike breaks. :(My daughter was able to learn how to ride this bike. We never fitted training wheels. I definitely think it helped that she had a balance bike beforehand. The bike is heavy. I can see how difficult it is for a younger boy would be I always enjoy checking out the Two Wheeling Tots website, at the time they recommended the Diamondback bike but there was no mention of that model, now looking at their website this model is NOT recommended as it is too heavy to fit into The age range listed on the Revain description is 5-7 years old. I disagree with that! Diamondback website says this bike is for 44 or 45". My daughter is 5.5 and 45". She is A little big for her age but still This bike is not for 5-7 year olds We will be buying a 20" for her birthday I will let my daughter continue on this bike but next time I will make a better investment own.
