Pretty neat tech upgrade for your car

Got it as a birthday present. Pretty neat. Installation on my 2019 4runner TRD Offroad was very easy. I routed the power cord up the windshield fascia, down the left hand fascia, through the rear dash (hidden under the windshield fascia) and down through the vent behind the main unit and straight through the cigarette lighter plug. looks clean I routed the backup camera cable (the included 11-foot cable) near the edge of the headliner, along the right-hand panel hidden under the passenger door panel, behind the passenger's rear footplate, and up the right rear window. I used small velcro dots and super glued them to the rear camera plate and simply attached with velcro to the edge of the headliner on the left rear window. I started the machine and watched the overview display to find the right angle. So far it looks great! I don't have GPS hooked up, my aftermarket main unit runs Android and uses Google Maps with a 4g SIM so I don't need redundancy to show it on my rear view. As long as I like it! A neat and cheap upgrade for your car if you ask me. Cons: The rear camera should be 18ft to give people enough room to walk and store. Suggestions: You should also consider Bluetooth connectivity or SIM card functionality to allow notifications to your phone.

Pros
  • Very impressive
Cons
  • Mature model
