You may NOT have the right gear for this

If you're like me - own a bike, ride occasionally, want to use it for indoor exercise but otherwise don't know much about bikes, this review is for you . This trainer has a solid build quality and is easy to assemble and install on your bike. If you are an experienced cyclist and know what exercise bikes are for and how to use them I would say this is an extremely competitive product in terms of quality and price. BUT I would like the seller, as well as other sellers of similar products, to tell more about the RIGHT gear you need.1. They are NOT for mountain bikes. Mountain bike tires have bumps that provide good grip on dirt roads. When those bumps hit the roller of this machine, it looks like having a little fire engine at home, even though the roller itself is completely smooth. The seller's and some buyers' comment that it's quieter is only related to the liquid resistance mechanism versus the magnetic one. In my experience, the noise mostly comes from the tire hitting the rink. So I decided to investigate how to minimize the noise. Here's what I found out -2. You must have a road bike. You must use a special indoor training tire with a smooth surface. You need to know how to install the inner tire and inner tube on the rear wheel before installing the bike on the trainer.3. Another option is to purchase a direct drive trainer that completely replaces the rear wheel. You should be able to easily remove the rear wheel from the bike and put it back on when you head outside again. You will probably want to buy another flywheel cassette (bolt cassette) to install on the machine. As expected, they're much more expensive - good ones start at $700 and easily go over $1,000. There's a $400 pair with reviews just above 4 stars if you're willing to take the risk. It's good that I learned a lot more about bikes after a day of research. They look simple enough, but they are actually complex machines. Again, any of these sellers could easily provide such information to potential buyers to save both parties time and effort and purchase and return losses.
