Review on πŸ«– BELLA 1.5L Electric Ceramic Tea Kettle - Boil Dry Protection, Detachable Swivel Base, Silver Foil by Julio Solano

Suitable for tea and coffee lovers!

I have a second Bella 1.2L ceramic kettle. I bought the blue model about two years ago and had no problems with it. Unfortunately I was making tea one morning and accidentally banged the kettle on the edge of the sink which broke the spout. I don't consider this a manufacturing defect, just my stupidity. Of course, it can chip/crack/break with mishandling; it's ceramic! I have a second teapot, a silver model, and I use it 3 times a day every day and have never had a hiccup. The water gets nice and hot, but not so hot that you can burn the tea leaves. It cooks pretty quickly. I fill it up first thing in the morning and then cook the rest of my breakfast. This is usually done within minutes. I drink from regular sized mugs and get about three servings of maximum fill. If you have small cups or need more space for your milk, you will get more servings. When I use a French Press to make coffee for guests, I fill the kettle to the maximum fill line and there is usually some water left in the kettle after I fill the French Press. I have noticed slight discoloration on the stainless steel heating element on the underside inside the kettle, probably due to mineral deposits. Soon I will fill the kettle with vinegar overnight and let the vinegar work on the mineral deposits. This is a heavy kettle compared to other kettles I've used. I would not recommend it for people with weak wrists, hands or arthritis.
