Unfortunately, these overlays cannot generally be ironed on. I'm not sure why others seem to have had different experiences; maybe with different fabrics in different ways? I've worn them with standard cotton pants and while they stuck a bit, it was pretty obvious they wouldn't wear a tag. Now I sewed them on, which I hoped to avoid as I'm bad at sewing. One pair of pants was in the wash and the patches were torn out of the fabric everywhere except for the corners where I sewed them on. Finally, if you know how to sew, they might suit you. I won't buy them again.
