I am very glad I came across this chuck for my Goldens

. I am very happy with this lining for my Fashion and Black Marsh Goldens. Interestingly, it smells like dog food. Didn't expect that based on other reviews. I tried making my own gel food from online recipes but they didn't seem to fit a 3 year old's imagination so I was a bit nervous. I'm very glad this meal includes pre-mixed gelatin as it holds together well. It seems to work better for my imagination and it makes me happy. When shuffled as directed, it only fills about 62 1/2" x 1/2" cubes from a 90-cube tray. The directions say to freeze it for 2-4 hours, but I've found one in a standard 90 1/2" x 1/2" hard plastic dice tray that I only need to freeze on the top shelf for about 40 minutes , if I want to feed him that day. It freezes pretty quickly. If you feed 2 cubes daily (one for breakfast and one for dinner), one portion will last for a month. It's definitely more economical than buying ready-made frozen foods and definitely more nutritious. I pack it in the freezer to avoid freezer burn. I added seaweed to my meals and also soaked them in garlic and then fed them as a treat. I don't feed kibble to avoid bloating so this worked great. I hope there will be other varieties of this food soon, or at least more varieties of add-ons. I plan to mix in frozen Hikari krill because the krill really brings out the colors of my imagination. It's also a great way to make your own healing food. I was looking forward to my first order for a Seachem Kanaplex health food. According to Seachem's instructions, you need 1 tablespoon of food to add the medicine. So I cooked the food first, scooped 1 tablespoon of food, which equals about 7 1/2 cubes when mixed according to directions, and then froze it for about 30 minutes so the food was cold enough for the medicine not to worked . After I mixed the medicine, I froze the food in 7 or 8 cubes. I also added Boyd's Liquid Vitamins and Seachem Garlic to the gel mix and didn't reduce the amount of water to get a few more cubes. Food (and another die for healing food) This was exactly what I was looking for to feed my precious gold pieces.
