I've been working from home full time for about ten years. As you can imagine, I changed quite a few chairs during that time. I recently switched to a sit-stand desk that is programmable and fully adjustable. I decided that I needed a drafting chair to keep me closer to my standing height, even when seated, and to transition faster. After some research I settled on the Modway Attainment chair. Pros: looks good. I like that the armrests can be removed. After some adjustments, it reclines and moves easily. The price is fixed. The Bad: It's easily the most uncomfortable chair I've ever had, period. I don't know what's going on, but within seconds of sitting in that chair, my butt, lower back, and thighs start screaming at me. In an attempt to salvage the chair, I bought a $30 memory foam pillow. It helped a little, but only delayed the severe pain by a maximum of 5 minutes. Right now I'm sitting in a $30 Ikea chair with no adjustments and I'm much more comfortable. To be clear, this chair isn't a very good chair either, so I'll take something else.
