Review on πŸ’‘ Enhanced Lighting Experience: Dimmable Rotatable Maxxima Retrofit Downlight by Michael Hudson

Revainrating 2 out of 5

Tight, but not a cigar!

The good news is that this is a very good value LED light for retrofitting existing 5" or 6" rear housings. The bad news is that this is only 1/2 of a good fixture. Although it is easy to install and the light comes on on a gimbal. There's no adjustment to rotate the light from side to side to aim it at a wall at a different angle. In short, you will get stuck at every angle. The light installs using the existing rear brackets, meaning there's little chance of this light being aimed at the wall the way you want it. What is needed is a second axis so that it can be adjusted side to side. She doesn't have that second axis. To make matters worse, when you call to ask about this feature, tech support has no idea what they're trying to describe. . They are polite and responsive. But their support is limited to repeating the same thing over and over again and declaring that they are very familiar with their products. So if you need a dimmable LED, it can light up to upgrade. I recommend this "https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B015P0OG0E/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1" If you look at the illustrations, you can see that it has two axis of motion . pretty good product.
