This reader has worked over the past few months with the Sony "G" series XQD cards that I have used in my Nikon D850 for works fine for me. It reads very quickly and hasn't slowed down yet. In my opinion, the feel of the build could be better and I wish the cord was a little longer, but that's just because I'm picky. I use the 3M Command Strip (aka Velco) to attach the reader to the side of my computer and it's the best since the built-in XQD reader tower.
