When it comes to choosing a sunscreen, it sits somewhere between mineral/physical blocks and chemical blocks. Each has its pros and cons, and it all comes down to what works best for your lifestyle, your skin, and the other needs you're trying to achieve with it. I like mineral sunscreens and most suit me well because I have a light skin tone and the white undertone isn't too noticeable. Many tinted mineral sunscreens try to reduce the white cast but still leave a hint of white cast - this also mostly works for me but skips many other skin tones. Chemical sunscreen is usually required to avoid whitening, and chemical sunscreen is needed for more frequent uses of SPF that moisturize and/or tone. But not everyone can tolerate chemical sunscreens. Secret! My sensitive skin (no rosacea) prefers mineral sunscreens. I try to keep my skincare routine simple and since sunscreen is the most important product regardless of the season, I prefer to use one that hydrates my skin at the same time. This light opacity makes me feel a little more polished. I can tell there is a slight tint but it is very transparent. CeraVe HYDRATING Tinted Mineral Sunscreen has a broad spectrum SPF 30. It has a transparent tint that looks a little dark and orange on my light pink skin at first. I applied it to both my forearm and my face. True to form, this formula blended perfectly with my skin. Any discoloration disappears shortly after application. It's most noticeable on my forearm so I've included photos of it being applied once it's applied and then after it's absorbed. Most importantly, I do NOT notice ANY white cast. I'm not sure how dark a skin tone can be made without making it appear too light, but if what appears to be a darker color invades my skin, does it perhaps work similarly to those further down the color spectrum? My skin is very fair, with a pink base, and that adds a touch of warmth to the color, but not so much that it looks too dark. Otherwise, I really like that my skin feels moisturized and slightly moist. Not greasy. Not covered with sunscreen. My skin is prone to dry skin so I definitely like it. I love that it contains skin barrier ceramides (helps hold skin together to form a protective layer that limits moisture loss and protects against visible damage from pollution and other environmental factors) and niacinamide (a water-soluble vitamin that works with natural substances). ). in your skin to visibly improve enlarged pores, uneven skin tone, fine lines and wrinkles, dullness and dullness). Allergy Tested Fragrance Free Paraben Free Oil Free Non-Comedogenic Suitable for Sensitive Skin Gentle on Skin I've found I can apply it after my normal skincare routine (hydrating toner, moisturizer, then that) OR just that as my only concern for the skin. I've tried both powder and liquid forms. He plays well with both. No scrubs on my part. I love CeraVe and am happy that it is so good for me.
