Closing Christmas cards just got a lot easier this year. It takes practice to get the amount of wax needed for optimal melting, and you'll get a small drop of wax down the side of the bowl, causing a bit of a mess when you put it back on the fire, but it's easy to do to clean . The flame will stain the bottom of the bowl, but I really don't see how to avoid this. And as other viewers have noted, the wood stains on each piece are different enough to be noticeable. I didn't really get it as a showpiece though, and it's pretty functional.
