Got a waterproof case because my son initially thought the BacPac LCD wouldn't fit when covered by the HERO 3+ case. until I discovered HERO 3+ backdoors. Either way, it's thicker than the HERO 3+'s body, making it a little more comfortable as it doesn't flex as much when installing the tailgate. The downside is the small buttons. Unlike the HERO 3+ body, the buttons are hard to press, especially if you have fat fingers. There are also holes in the transom where snow and water can get in and freeze it. It's also more difficult to open compared to the HERO 3+ due to the snap mechanism. I don't know if it's just my son but he prefers the screws on the outside so he can get in better when cleaning. it's from. Either way, it's still a great backup, and if you're worried, your HERO 3+ case won't be as strong and thick as this HERO 3 case.
