Hard, hard, plastic
I was a bit disappointed with the quality of these combs. They are made of hard, hard plastic, so they have very little flexibility. I find them more like garden rakes. I'm assuming they rip apart the tangles rather than gently tearing them through. They will never work for my thick, coarse curls. Luckily I bought the combs for my mother, who doesn't mind combs at all.
