I bought these sandals for my 10 month old granddaughter. She prepared for her first steps for a long time. When we put those little sandals on her and she heard the creak, a big, happy smile spread across her face. I think they even helped her walk a bit earlier because she really liked them. The first thing I did when I received the sandals was to check the little squeaker in the heel. When I was satisfied that they weren't a problem, I let them go. I will always watch (and listen!) to her wearing them. Funny shoes! I'm buying a second pair in the next size up.
