I used this as a training tool for my dog to get her to stop barging out the door every walk. I used it for about a month or 2. The initial week to let her get used to walking with it without messing with it. Eventually I transitioned her to wear this with her regular harness until she stopped charging out the door and just walked.The reason why I did it this way instead of the traditional way of in and out the door is because that made my cat escape. My dog is also too good at pulling off a gentle leader so this was perfect.It has at attachment to connect the halter to the collar. She was never able to pull it off her face.I personally don't recommend this for everyday use though. It does appear to limit their ability to pant. Maybe get them used to it in winter until you can loosen the bottom piece by summer for them. ☺️
