The bread does not come out of the toaster and the toaster is quite wide so it stays very clean. Toaster which is also very handy and this bread riser tool is perfect when you want to lightly toast bagels, croissants, buns, etc. I've been doing this all the time since I've had it. A nice feature they could add is a timer, but it never burns out so it's not a big deal. The frying speed is relatively average.
