Nothing easier than that. Take it out of the box, charge it and download the app. After charging, which didn't take long, turn on the camera and tell the app to add the camera. They start making loud noises and actually yell at each other when they connect. The clean way to do it! Phew, done! The installation is very easy. A simple mount screws into where you want to mount the camera, then simply line up the back of the camera with the mount and it slides down the hooks, done, a few screws and slide on. Again how easy it is! You can install the solar panel on the camera or in a separate location. They even give you an extension cord for this purpose, but they don't give you a solar panel mounting bracket unless you just put it on top of the camera. Sold separately, they say! Operation is also easy. I have several cameras from another company using the CloudEdge app which I find unreliable. The Ctronics app is really nice and easy to use. Setting up the camera in the app can be an issue as I couldn't find the right direction. It would be helpful if at some point there was a thing that explains what the options are. When I set mine up, I chose the "Continue Working" option. This tells the camera to record all the time, but I got low battery warnings for several hours. Turns out you need a power source to work this way, a solar panel can't handle that, so it's not a 24/7 battery powered camera. With the Low Power setting, the camera will sleep until it detects motion and then wake up. After switching to this setting, I had no battery issues. The phone app is easy to use. Select a camera and the live image appears. I'm amazed at how good the picture is, very clear, the best I've seen from a cheap camera, even at night. The camera is PTZ, which allows you to swipe your finger across your phone's screen and the camera will move in that direction. The range is large. The only downside is that it's slow to respond at times, the internet is connecting I think, but it will respond and you'll be looking in a completely different direction. It doesn't move very quickly, but in just a few seconds you can focus on a different view. This is my sixth used camera and I consider it the best I've ever owned. I recommend it to anyone who wants to control their property. That's a great camera!
