This is an attractive towel rail but it has two drawbacks. Granite countertops are becoming increasingly popular. Metal creaks/squeaks as it slides across the counter. We ended up having to put little felt pads on the bottom of each foot (which solved the problem). The design aspect is more problematic. In the attached image, two areas are marked with red circles. When you pick up towels, they tend to slip into a tight spot and get caught, easily bumping them over the counter. So it's great if you don't actually use it. But for regular use, you need to be very careful when taking out towels. It could benefit greatly from a redesign.
