I use it as a touchpad in my computer case and it works great. Very easy to install. Just connect both cables and tape them to the glass with 3m double sided tape. I had no problems with this but haven't tried the touchscreen so can't rate the part. The stand it came with is rubbish. I knocked it off the table and it broke. If you use it this way, I strongly recommend a PCIe card with a USB connector inside the case because if you just plug it into the back of the motherboard, the backlight will be on. unless you turn off the power.
