Review on Tyt TH-9000D VHF2 Mono Band Mobile Car Radio Transceiver - 50 Watt, 200 Channel, 8 Scrambler, Black by Vince Dickey

I would love to give this radio 5 stars but due to the incredibly awful manual that comes with it I can only give 4 stars. In all honesty the manual is beyond useless as it actually contains completely inaccurate information on how to program the radio. I hope this doesn't put anyone off buying a radio as the radio itself works very well and is actually pretty easy to program once you have the right information about it. This information can be found online (including the comments section here). The programming software that came with the radio works very well, but I found the installation process a little cumbersome on a Windows 7 computer. One nice thing about the software is that it doesn't seem to use any DLLs or anything like that. So if it doesn't get installed where and how you want, it's not hard to move it and get it working. This radio really is a fantastic purchase (just don't think anything in the manual is right).
