I'm one of those people who, when they get carried away by a conversation or work, forget that they're sitting there with a hot drink. This product is perfect for me. I can use my big mugs on it or borrow coffee mugs. Iced tea in a 20 ounce ceramic mug heated to the temperature as if I'd just poured hot water in it. Love the push button switch underneath so it only stays on when the mug is on it. Doesn't limit me to a small cup like other products that only require use of the cup that comes with it. I will buy another one for my husband.
