Six ounces should refer to thickness. That means they're "extra heavy" compared to the "heavy" ones that weigh 4.5 ounces. I don't know exactly what those ounces mean. I paid $7 and got 105 elastics or 6.66 cents per elastic. Interesting room and too much to pay! If I hadn't needed them for my son's speech therapist on Monday I would have bought others, but these came through Prime on Friday. I think for those of us who don't sell rubber bands, the seller could say: 100 bands, 3/16 inch diameter, extra heavy weight (6 ounces for everything), and then it would be much clearer what the person is actually buying.
