This is a great surge protector for anything but ethernet. The spade connector is great, the cable length is good and the arrangement works well. However, I bought it to manage my network bay. I live in an apartment with poor wiring, so I need to protect both the coax and ethernet from my modem for redundancy. Ten years ago, I wouldn't have had a problem with a 100Mbps speed limit. Today I need a lot more speed in my home office. This device is a blocker on my network. Other reviews say "RJ45 doesn't support x-speed" but that's not true. The connector shape is the same for Cat5, 6,7,8. These jacks simply don't support gigabit speeds.
