100Mbps max for extenders and surge protector

This is a great surge protector for anything but ethernet. The spade connector is great, the cable length is good and the arrangement works well. However, I bought it to manage my network bay. I live in an apartment with poor wiring, so I need to protect both the coax and ethernet from my modem for redundancy. Ten years ago, I wouldn't have had a problem with a 100Mbps speed limit. Today I need a lot more speed in my home office. This device is a blocker on my network. Other reviews say "RJ45…

Slim and light with good features

I chose this model for the joules of surge protection and thinness, even though I only needed one outlet. The ones that plug into an outlet cover the buttons on the ARC security device that I have. I hooked it up to the back of a wall mounted 40 inch Samsung TV with Velcro. I also use the LAN ports as this TV only connects via LAN. I have other Tripp Lite products that I am happy with so I bought this one. Tripp Lite metal products are very durable, this one is made of plastic and suitable for…

Low clamping voltage.

I can't rate it, just received it. Really good performance on paper. Nice low clamping voltage! I think they get a bad rap for people saying they stopped working when they should stop working to let you know they are no longer protecting. Other surge protectors continue to leak electricity and the user is unaware that they are no longer protecting. I bought this partly because I don't want it to know when it's time to replace it rather than keep using it. Line filters wear out and become…

Nifty Device in Accessories and Consumables

This is a solid choice for home entertainment. Along with TVs, video game systems, DVD and Blu-ray players, and just about anything you've ever plugged in, there's plenty of electronics but far fewer outlets. The Tripp Lite TLP810NET surge protector is ideal for giving you the space you need to connect many of your electronic devices in one place. Not only does it have 8 additional sockets that you can plug directly into it, but the real beauty of this device lies in its superb design. The…

Great surge protector with all the features you need

I learned a hard lesson recently. Across the street from my house, a power transformer exploded. The wave destroyed two TVs, two surge protectors, a cable box, and a Roku box. The Belkin surge protector failed to stop the surge. Anything that was powered on and connected to that surge protector blew up. UPC's surge protector stopped the surge. However, that surge protector is now garbage. After recovering from the shock of having to spend over $1,000 to replace my hardware, I decided to do some

Great product at a great price!

Lightning struck near our house. Even though we had a whole house surge protector, it turned off three TVs, our VOIP phone, our live TV, and our internet. This is because the surge came through COAXIAL CABLES for our DirectTV and Internet, not through power lines. The spatter goes straight down the coax cable to your modems, and then down the HDMI cables to your TV, roasting the innards. I researched that for a few days. I bought a small external surge protector for internet coax cable. Problem

Pros
  • Nice packaging
Cons
  • I don't remember

Sorry for the long review but I thought this required all the information. I don't usually write reviews about products, I write reviews about the body of this TrippLite surge protector; I felt I had to share my story. I bought this product for my home computer, monitor, printer, router, modem, etc. because it has enough ports for all of these devices and has great distance for wall warts and large items. I also chose this option because it includes RJ11 (telephone/DSL) and RJ45 (network)…
