I chose this model for the joules of surge protection and thinness, even though I only needed one outlet. The ones that plug into an outlet cover the buttons on the ARC security device that I have. I hooked it up to the back of a wall mounted 40 inch Samsung TV with Velcro. I also use the LAN ports as this TV only connects via LAN. I have other Tripp Lite products that I am happy with so I bought this one. Tripp Lite metal products are very durable, this one is made of plastic and suitable for home use. The power cord is thick and long (although I only needed 1 foot). My rating is based on how good all the connections are and how light it is how it meets my needs. They have many other similar models but note that as the connections degrade the Joule rating will degrade. Be so be careful when choosing models. I usually use a UPS for my TVs, but I needed something light that can get stuck in the back of the TV.
