Two of these have been (hehe!) in our van for several weeks. Pretty handy and won't bother you if you set them up correctly. If you wish, you can separate the socket from the front panel with a cover. Then it is easy to find a place for it on the dashboard or panel. The LED is too bright for my liking but is easily covered with tinted epoxy. At night, it almost illuminates the interior of the car and can be very distracting and tiring even on a long night drive. Otherwise a good product.
