So I'm not a big fan of instructions so when I first opened I thought they sent the wrong one. The way the frame appears, it looks like it's not a shadow box. You have to take it apart and reassemble it to make it a shadow box. I used a photo of my husband and our two younger girls in the sea on our dad's day trip and then filled the bottom with sand and shells. Bad idea. A top loading frame would have been better as the sand kept leaking out the back of the frame. I taped it the heck and finally sealed it.
