I bought this Western Digital Black 6TB drive because I've always trusted the WD brand and needed more space, but this model needs a refurbishment. occurred. This drive bangs every few seconds and it's really annoying! If you want to know more, just search the internet for "wd black drive thumping". When I built my PC I used a CORSAIR Carbide 330R case and installed a Seasonic G Series 550 SSR-550RM 550W PSU because I wanted a quiet PC. It was very quiet until I installed this 6TB Western Digital Black drive. Now the constant pounding has ruined my silent computer. For now I'll just zip a bunch of crap on it and then disable it to preserve my sanity. My daughter also bought one of these drives for her gaming/VR PC and had the same experience. Knock-knock-knock and she hates it too. So Western Digital gets a solid 3 stars for reliability at the moment, but I can't give more than that noise they make in the drive!
