I read the reviews before buying and found complaints about the smell and texture. Yes, they smell like plastic when taken out of the packaging. But this smell quickly disappears with use. I'm still using the first one I opened a few months ago and it smells very fresh with no mold on the hanger loop. It took a few uses to fluff up, but it's one of the fluffiest puffs I've ever used and produces lots and lots of lather from my body wash. This is so much better than Dollar Tree or WalMart puffs! I only wish I could get hold of a pack of solid whites but would definitely buy again.
