This is my first fabric paint set so I didn't know what to expect. I have other hippie crafter products and they are great. You get 24 colors and they are vibrant. The transparency is decent. I didn't have to apply a second coat, but I've found that it's best to keep the brush well loaded and keep loading so it doesn't brush too dry. A layer that is too dry will not cover properly, so you will need a second layer, which may not apply evenly. Just make sure you apply it evenly with the brush so you don't end up with thick or large areas that can chip or crack. The paint is thicker than most paints and tends to to dry quickly, depending on what you're doing, you may need to work quickly. If necessary, they can be diluted with water and still remain constant. They offer 7 full days of cure before washing. 24 bright colors, bright metallics and two bright whites are included. They don't come with brushes so get yourself a decent set and these paints will work fantastic. One last piece of advice... I've read that you can slightly heat the wrong side of the fabric with an iron or blow dryer every other day to help the curing process and help resistance, just don't use heat that is too hot. and these colors will work amazingly.
