If you are buying these as spares or to replace OEM transmitters, we recommend them. They work great for me, programming was quick and easy, and the price couldn't be better. But if, like me, you're trying to add a cheap remote start from the factory, you might need to dig a little deeper. I have found that my 2017 GMC, which comes preloaded with all the hardware and software required for remote start, still cannot be activated by simply purchasing new key fobs and reprogramming the BCM. The BCM needs to be "recalibrated", only a GM dealer with an activation code can do this, and the only way to get an activation code is to buy an OEM remote start kit (which comes with two OEM transmitters).
