Suction cup doesn't stick to anything. I have cleaned every surface and mug myself and tried the whole car to no avail. I managed to find a spot that lasted about 24 hours before it peeled off the awkward spot on my door under the driver's side window where I managed to get it to stick, then of course it fell off at the worst possible moment while I was it was driving. and fell off the side of my seat and then moved millimeter by millimeter so far that I couldn't reach it while driving. A plus of this thing is that the magnet works really well, oh what reminds me of that, after receiving this thing I started to realize that the metal tabs that you attached to your phone and stick to this mount are yours block signal. I didn't understand what was going on until I tracked the time my signal started going bad to the time it showed up. Generally use the "life hack" version of the car phone mount and use the elastic to go through your vents/grille and out while holding the phone to the vent.
