Don't think the plates are ceramic
All documentation that came with the product mentions non-stick coating - nowhere is it mentioned ceramic. Posted questions remain unanswered. I returned this and got another brand which is actually ceramic. Very misleading as I'm pretty sure it's a toxic teflon coating.
