I love this product. This is our 3rd generation Patpet dog collar. The ability to simply beep, vibrate, or vibrate gives you a lot of flexibility. We have a 2 year old Labrador Border Collie mix. In a few weeks we fully trained them to come, go and wait on command. It seems like we have to put it on her as a reminder every few months. Just putting the collar on without having to use it is all you need. My advice when setting the shock level is to try it on yourself first by placing 1 finger on both contacts and shocking yourself. I would suggest that you work with just the audio signal first, and then move on to the percussive part only when needed. Personally, I've only used electric shocks a handful of times. Also, make sure you only use the collar on a select few teams. My dog likes to say hello by jumping up and down which nobody likes. After teaching her three commands, I added a fourth that was OFF. Well it didn't work. My kids came over she jumped I was shocked and she came back to me and then ran back and jumped on the kids. My point is that you can't use it for everything. If you do this, it can confuse the dog. It's very important to make sure it fits snugly around your dog's neck, otherwise you'll just shock his fur. Yesterday a woman in the park tried to tame her dog with a collar but to no avail. When I checked, the collar was at least an inch off the skin. After tightening, a completely different result. Definitely an excellent product, we recommend it to all our friends and colleagues. It's always hard to know which reviews to trust, trust this one!
