First, this product is very expensive. You get a small jar, which you really need very little to get started, but it's quite expensive. We bought a marble topped kitchen table and, not knowing how to clean it properly, used our regular vinegar and water solution to clean it. I was beginning to notice "water stains" which upon closer inspection turned out to be etched marks in the marble. After much deliberation I chose this product as it was the only one that actually promised a repair, not just a polish combined with marble polish for a 'finish'. The product really works. We sprinkled the powder on the table, dampened it with a spray bottle (per the instructions) and started polishing. Only a few minutes had passed and the table was already looking better. There probably could have been a second coat as the table was once covered with a significant amount of vinegar on it, but it did an excellent job removing 90% of the etch marks on the first use. I would definitely recommend this product for a marble countertop. One star deducted for cost.
