Review on Magnus VT 4000 Professional Performance Tripod by Dan Davis

The support does not know what they are doing

I cannot give five stars for the following reason. I called the company before ordering my first earlier this year and was told their vt-3000 was interchangeable with the earlier model so I bought it. Well it isn't. A 3000 mounting plate also won't fit a 4000. They made it so slightly different that the cymbal wouldn't work. So I got stuck with the vt3000 due to bad advice from the company and had to buy two 4000s. Don't trust any advice you get from a company on their customer service number. Sorry folks, but the people you're asking questions of don't know your product line and it's costing us, the customers, hundreds of dollars. A simple "I don't know" would be better. Anyone want vt3000? I have a cheap one. When I spoke to your friend again. Just. OK. As for the quality. To be honest, I think they are a bit cheaper. The Vt4000 I have is a bit weak in the fluid head and the cross members wobble a bit. I use it as a stationary device indoors so it's not a big deal. But personally, I don't think this upgrade to the new Magnus name will get everyone excited. The old version seemed to be a better unit again in my opinion.
