Very good video tripod

I bought it based on reviews, not looking for it. But it was a fantastic video tripod. I mainly use it with Sony Handycam. Beautiful smooth pans in all directions. I like the adjustable head because I know what's down and no longer have to fiddle with each leg to level the tripod. The only downside to this design is that the head doesn't rise further from the top. Once your legs are fully extended, you cannot go any higher. It's a bit heavy, but it's enough for what I do. The bag that comes…

Save up for Manfroto

I bought two VT-4000s for my Sony FS 700. At first glance the tripods and head looked and felt pretty good for the price. It all ended when I really started using them for videos. My main criticism is the panning screw. When you lock the pan screw, the entire head moves. Somewhere loose in the head when clamped. Unacceptable. I contacted the manufacturer of the Magnus VT 4000 but was told they never had this problem. Of course not. I even sent them a quick clip of the head working while the pan

The support does not know what they are doing

I cannot give five stars for the following reason. I called the company before ordering my first earlier this year and was told their vt-3000 was interchangeable with the earlier model so I bought it. Well it isn't. A 3000 mounting plate also won't fit a 4000. They made it so slightly different that the cymbal wouldn't work. So I got stuck with the vt3000 due to bad advice from the company and had to buy two 4000s. Don't trust any advice you get from a company on their customer service number…

Perfect for my needs

Love it! A good tall tripod with a good ball head for leveling and a very strong and smooth pan/tilt head. I found it in an online review of cheap video decks and they were absolutely certain they were good quality at a reasonable price. It's tall (with its legs outstretched it puts the camera at my eye level. I'm 5'11") and appears to be quite sturdy. Leveling the head is very easy with the ball joint mechanism and built-in spirit level. The head itself can be leveled pan and tilt very easily…

Perfect for the price

I'm a photographer. Make it second rate. I'm a veteran journalist who started when we were all shooting in black and white. But then I switched to bigger newspapers and started taking photos all the time when I was covering stories. However, shortly after I started in 1981, the industry began to fall apart as I closed newspapers or switched to morning publication. Of course it got worse. In a more recent past, I returned to the small sheet and put all my things down again. I learned how to make

This is the winner. but ENG crews should proceed with caution

NOTE: 3 stars for ENG message gathering, 5 stars for casual/casual shooters. This VT4000 is robust. I have three. He came with me to Liberia to cover the Ebola outbreak, multiple mass shootings in the US, two tornadoes and Hurricane Patricia in Mexico, and countless reports. All were defeated. I got one in 2014 and two in 2015. All but one are still in use. explanation below. The Good: - For quality and reliability, the price is fantastic. The wand part itself is strong and can really take a…

Light, comfortable, good quality

I have a Manfrotto 502 head on a Manfrotto carbon tripod. It's a great setup for studio work, but the head is bulky and not very ergonomic. I was looking for something more portable and practical. The VT-400 is an inexpensive tripod. The tripod is made of yooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo…
