Review on πŸ₯Ύ Waterproof Mid Hiking Boot for Men - Timberland White Ledge by Nick Winnett

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Great upper, outsole wears out quickly

I use these boots for work and home. I've had at least 5 pairs over the years. Even though my agency supplies me with decent boots, I buy these boots because they have hooks at the top instead of eyes so they're easier to put on and take off. The upper is holding up well, except that after about a year of use I've got signs of wear across my thumb. The soles need some improvement to get a higher rating from me. After about 6-8 months of moderate use (walking an average of 10 miles per week on roads or trails) portions of the heels will wear down to the point where they no longer have profile. At this point they become lawn care boots and I buy another pair. If they switched to a mini vibram sole they would cost as much as they are charging now. It's a good buy for $50, but not for $80.

Pros
  • 100% leather
Cons
  • Slightly wrinkled
