Installation nightmare - 8 hours helping craftsman

The door is undoubtedly very well made from high quality materials. It's like they set out to build a great dog door but didn't really think through to the wall mounting. It took 2 hours to install long screws without guides. I hired a handyman with 45 years of experience and had to help him by sticking my fingers in to guide the screw into the hole. Funny that someone has to do that. My master built dozens of dog doors into the wall. He said it was the most difficult installation he's ever done. So buyers and jacks of all trades, be careful. But there is more. Once the screws were in our little dogs, they couldn't get through either door. So we had to remove the outer valve. Three screws came out, but one of them doesn't work. It won't budge. The cap of the screw used by the screwdriver has come off. It turned out to be screwed onto the end of a screw. ? We tried pliers but it didn't work. Finally we dismantled the doors, the outer door with a frozen screw in it. The handyman said he could just put the hat on later as he had already walked all the way. He said stainless steel screws are notorious for their "abrasion," which is the word he used when they freeze into threads. Now find 3 holes. nope It was still an enormous effort to find the holes. The last screw began to pass, and then froze like the first. The handyman said he would just cut them off at both ends. But there's a catch. Since 2 screws are frozen and can't be removed I can't get the door off the wall - ever. If for some reason I need to replace the sash, the door will have to be removed from the wall and disassembled. So I'm stuck. If I wanted to return it because of the frozen screws I would have to ask my handyman to use a saw and cut the door apart. Eight hours to install this door. Mainly because of the long screws. Engineers should think about it. If other manufacturers have screw guides, why doesn't Endura have them? Dogs use a single valve. Its thickness was new to them, so they hesitated. They lived with a dog door in the door for 10 years. Eventually, with plenty of chicken breast as bait, they started using it. After installation, the door seems to work fine. I did a test with a blower and the single blade didn't move even when I put the blower on it. It's good. I would recommend this product if the installation was better. But it looks like I can't. No matter how good it is, spend 8 hours fitting the door with two screws that "pull upโ€ or freeze in the thread and spoil it. This is how 5 stars become 2 stars.
