Review on Canon EF 16-35mm f/2.8L ll USM Zoom Lens: Optimized Performance for Canon EF Cameras by Anuson Chaosuan ᠌

Revainrating 5 out of 5

A great option for this money, one of the best offers.

Like everyone else - the choice was 17-40 or 16-36. In fact, they are the same, the difference is in aperture ratio, price and show-off) Well, in application situations (as I understand now). I used to think in favor of 17-40, I have 6D - I thought the difference between 2.8 and 4 is compensated by ISO and the whole business - 6D allows you to shoot at 1000-2022 without significant damage to quality. But, by chance, I got a used device 16-35, which stayed with me for exactly one studio shooting, but - I constantly remembered it, despite its "weakness" and outright b-ness :) Time passed - I had the strength to put off the purchase there was no longer a width - 35mm could no longer cope and I wanted a frankly larger angle. Like everyone else - I thought for a long time. I was looking for analogues in sigmotamron - fixes-zooms, I reviewed a lot of things in kenon, but - everything is not right! As a result, I again came to the choice of 17-40 or 16-35, and then memory played - and the lens was cool! And I liked the photos, and 2.8 is really working! In the end - I took it! I'm happy so far :) Once I even filmed the whole wedding for them (+135ka, but there it is, more like a backup dancer). Recently I took from a friend 17-40, heaven and earth ! I immediately remembered with a shudder the terrible 24-105 and 70-200, which is 4.0 - it’s unrealistic to shoot indoors ! And ISO does not help much, it's still not right. No fun shooting, no beauty and sharpness! This is the best lens for shooting outdoors - and without a polarizer it can depict such a fairy tale, mmm ! Half-length portraits - full-length = easy. banquets - registration in the registry office = easily, it is not for nothing that it is called a wedding! Breaking the geometry and making something stand out from the gray crowd = yes, no question! :) To diversify the usual picture, turn on the craving for creativity, "play around" - it's easy with a song! :) All good lenses are magical in their own way, and this one is no exception! His picture is meowyyyyyyyyy! Not soapy, but soft, gentle! Who shoots and shoots on Kenon 35 1.4 will understand me - everything is somehow contrasting, seriously, it’s different here :) PS - I don’t shoot nature, in general, I took it for reporting - studios.

Pros
  • Aperture, versatility, design, working 2.8, sharpness, appearance, etc.
Cons
  • Soaps around the edges by 16mm - I didn’t notice it myself, but everyone writes)))

Has some pros: wide angle, lightness, fast autofocus, quiet, comfortable, pleasant to use Its cons: distortion of the geometry of the photo, although at a wide angle it is for all lenses
