Perfect for my lakeside Adirondack cabin. I pair this with a wireless keyboard and it's great. My carpenter installed it so I can't comment on the ease of installation. the look I was hoping for. The finish is matte black and it appears to be coated very well and evenly. I've only had it for about 6 weeks so can't comment on durability but from the looks of it I'd say it will last a long time. They have a different style, more embellished, with curved tops. I prefer the simplicity of this particular model that goes well with the craft aesthetic. This particular keyboard model that comes with the handle allows me to assign combinations to different people and remotely lock and unlock the door. very happy with my purchase.
