Review on Petit Collage Wooden Animal Blocks by Hugo Caywood

Great blockset! It's a little pricey, almost a dollar a block, but I think the quality of the product is worth it. The blocks are small to medium in size and come in a variety of shapes and colors. There are three animal blocks - lion, owl and elephant. Some of them are made of plain wood, others are painted (both with and without a pattern). No piece is small enough for a child to choke on, and generally all blocks have semi-circular edges, so using them as a projectile shouldn't cause too much damage to another person. (Although they might smash the vase completely or something.) I really like that it's gender neutral. It's great for both boys and girls! Most of all I think this is a really great set to encourage creativity in young children. There are no assembly instructions. Kids can just jump around and let their imagination run wild. That's what my 2.5 year old did. We can also use this to define colors and shapes if you want some technical knowledge, but I'm happy to just let my son use the bricks for his crazy made-up animal stories. (I can't usually follow any of these.)
