It's actually a solid little thing

Let me start with the positives: - It costs $59.00 - The color is exactly what I was looking for got (cherry). And no unnatural looking bright red cherry. - When you finally assemble it, it's actually a tricky little thing. Cons: - It hurts to collect. Tip: Do not drink alcohol while making this bed. Don't keep small children near you unless you mind hearing you yell swear words. Don't bring it up with your spouse if you work really well together. Make sure no one from China is within earshot because you'll be talking nasty things about them for about 45 minutes. And finally, FOLLOW THE INSTRUCTIONS. I personally haven't had much time to put it together, but I can see where something can cause problems for most people. (Picture) The holes don't match when you put the two piece railing together. I didn't want to drill new or larger holes so I wanted to see if I could work with staggered holes and I was able to with mine. Before bolting the brace to the two pieces of rail as instructed, I connected the railing, metal bracket, and center support block with allen screws through the holes to test the fit. I did everything right, even with the staggered holes. Sure, one of the screws was stuck, but it worked. After I put everything together you can get to the two staple holes on the bottom and mark them. (Pictured) LOOK AT THE RAILS. There is a screw hole on the edge of the railing on both sides. This ensures that the side guides are screwed in. They should both be headboard oriented. Boards are a pain in the ass. Prepare one side of the railing and attach it to the center pole. When working the other side, do not tighten the two Allen screws all the way to the bar. This will give you some slack to insert the fins and then tighten everything up. I could give 5 stars but I'm writing this because my face is still dripping with sweat lol. It's not the worst piece of furniture I've ever assembled, but for assembly purposes the design could be improved. It's $59, it's a bed, and it's pretty sturdy. You won't be disappointed when you get it.

Pros
  • Takes a standard crib mattress, not included
Cons
  • Good but not great
