Approximately the bottom 1/3 of the drain holes are blocked by a plastic plug. This was obviously never checked for quality. To put it mildly, I expected that. for $1 at a dollar store, not multiple times more. You can wash 4 (Japanese) cups of rice with this if you take it gently and drain it very carefully. In fact, this is the minimum you can count on for this task. I give it three stars because it really works. I'll keep it because it's not worth returning and once or twice a week using it I can get it to do what I need it to. Anyone who has rated one of those 5 stars, even if they got it without a blocked drain problem, should quit smoking crack.
