Finally after all the Asian made ignition coils with literally thousands of counterfeit OEM coils, we have a European made ignition coil that actually works and exceeds the factory specs of BMW coils. I installed them myself (unprofessionally) along with the spark plugs on my 2005 BMW 325CI Cabrolet M-54 engine. As you can see in fig. #1, the ignition coils pulled out are German factory coils. The original coils look really nice, but who knows what will happen to the electronics if they erode. The replacement fits perfectly. They don't fit perfectly, but they still hold the seat belts as they should. BMW recommends dripping dielectric grease onto the bottom hole of the tube where it attaches to the fork. Do not lubricate these pipes under any circumstances! I would like to add here that BMW advises against spraying antifreeze on spark plugs. So all the spools fell into place, the job was done in less than an hour. Keep in mind that the store or distributor will charge hundreds of dollars per roll and hundreds of dollars in labor for this simple job. The car fired up right away, no codes and the voltage is slightly higher than the factory coils, which means better starting power and performance. Be very careful with the Asian BMW parts market. BMW hates non-OEM parts and engines that have been destroyed because of it. Thanks also to those lovely customer service people in Florida who sent me the PDF coil setup file. 5 STARS
