Need gaiters to keep snow out of my boots while hiking in deep powder and snowshoeing. It worked. I recently spent two days in knee deep snow and they kept my boots out of the snow and kept my feet dry and warm. The leggings are pretty basic, but these leggings have some neat features that add functionality to them. There is a clip on the front that attaches to the laces to keep the gaiter firmly attached to the front of the boot. And the strap covering the bottom of the boot holds the gaiters around the entire perimeter. The full-length zip makes it easy to put on and take off. And the drawstring at the top of the gaiters makes them snug and keeps snow from getting in from above. The material sheds snow and I think it sheds water pretty well too. Overall very happy with these leggings. I will use them for all my winter outings!
