Overall it worked really well for me. Yes, it smells a bit like chewing gum when you first shake it in the litter, but after a while you don't smell it anymore. I have two cats, one is a teenager and the other is an adult. Both don't seem to bother the smell at all. The odor reduction feature takes quite a long time before I need to add more, but I think it would be better if it could last a little longer. All in all I recommend it. I've used baking soda in the past but it seems to last longer and I don't have to add it as often.
