Review on Pyramid Touring North Handle Alloy by Ryan Rodriguez

A must for a comfort bike conversion

I'm converting an old Specialized Mountain Hard Rock Hybrid into a comfort bike. You know how to bend down, stare at the floor, sit down and enjoy the view. To do that I need to replace the awful straight bar with this one (I suspect the only benefit of a straight bar is that it allows the manufacturer to cram more bikes into one shipping container). This steering wheel does the job. It raises and moves the position of the hands backwards, allowing the hands to return to a normal grip by redirecting body weight from the hands and wrists to where it should be. This SUNLITE handlebar is of good quality and very light. Aluminum can bend but doesn't rust, and comfort bikers aren't particularly picky about their bikes. Casual but rarely harsh. I ordered it for my wife and she passed her test. I'm ordering another one for myself as I too am fed up with the pain in my wrists and arms and can barely see anything but the ground around my front wheel. You may need a (bicycle) fork extension, but the ladies probably only need this handlebar. I enjoy cheating on our bikes because it doesn't cost a fortune. New ones would be cheaper but the history we have with these old bikes makes them invaluable to us and therefore more than worth the cost of repairing them.
