Review on πŸ‘Ÿ Cruze XR High-top Women's Roller Derby Skates by Rusty Calcara

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Very high quality roller skates! My teenager agrees!

After spending a lot of time looking for adult skates for my 12 1/2 year old daughter. I've compared the $70 Reidell, the $60 Chicago Skate, and this $50 Roller Derby. Reviews, quality and characteristics. In the end I chose her. The quality at this price is incomparable. They weigh around 6 pounds compared to 8-8 1/2 pounds of other popular brands. I liked that the wheels have inner/outer hardness and the bearings are sealed. The packaging was very pretty. The skates were perfect. You can't go wrong with this. Their shoe sizes range from 7 to 7-1/2 depending on width and brand. I gave it an 8 based on a Roller Derby recommendation and a reviewer's comment. With a thick sock, she liked the size very much. No pinching and tongue padding really helps. Lighter skates were also ideal. It rolled a bit on the tiles inside, the wheels were stuck so I loosened them a bit so they spin freely. She loves them and can't wait to show them off. It was an early Christmas present, so she gets to join the school skateboarding this week. (I plan on re-boxing them for Christmas Eve lol) I'll update after she put them on the rink and give me her full review. I don't think there will be any problem other than customizing the wheels and cart to suit their needs. I can totally picture her wearing them as a teenager. Maybe I'll even give her a nice set of outer wheels and later an inner tire. I've been riding ATVs since the 70's and my first skates had metal wheels! I would highly recommend them as a great first skate for adults and as a pair for an experienced skater. I'm thinking of replacing my used Ridells with a new pair of these.
