I wanted to use this easel to hold a portrait at funerals and engagements. At first I didn't think it would be strong enough to hold a portrait in a wooden frame. However, the easel fitted perfectly and was easy to carry between events. This is a very simple portable item for short term displays. I wouldn't recommend using it for anything that requires a long display (days/weeks). I would also not exceed the manufacturer's weight limit for guaranteed durability!
